This route forms a complete circle around the summit of Giralda, the highest peak in the Guajar Sierra range. The summit can be seen from many points on the route and its appearance differs greatly depending upon the viewpoint. From the north and south it appears to have a flat top and from other viewpoints it has a pointed summit. From the village of Albunuelas Giralda is mostly hidden by the lower peak in front of it.
The route can be cycled in either direction.
